 PRESIDENT'S WORD

Drazen Premate - President/CEO

A New Space Vision

We live in the World filled with negative thinking and pessimism combined with the worst economic crisis ever.  All self created.  We do not do well with Grand Visions. We tend to ask:  What is in it for me?  Or we let wrong people run with them.  That usually kills such Grand Visions!!

One of Grand Visions that has been lost, at least in the US and with NASA, and it is Space.  What happened to this great space faring nation which is about to end Space Shuttle program for good and has cancelled plans for what comes beyond the Space Shuttle for man’s presence in space??  How could that have happened?

Space is here to inspire us all about our future.  NASA walked away from everything it used to believe in about humankind's presence in space.  When Americans landed on the moon on July 20, 1969 I was still a young boy in then Yugoslavia.  I remember my father bought our first Black & White TV two days before the Moon Landing so we could watch that event.  It was amazing.  It was inspiring. It changed my life.  I decided then I wanted to become an astronaut!!  My whole life and purpose and arriving to the US was driven by that one space event – Man Landing on the Moon!!

Then it all went dead.  It was just a race with Russians.  The Shuttle was supposed to bring us new discoveries with zero-gravity research and the International Space Station – the other ISS!!  What is NASA and the USA doing?  Ending the Space Shuttle program when finally $120 billion international space station is almost finished??  This would be like Delta Airlines stopping its flights to Atlanta after completing an ultra modern hub there!

How did this happen?  How can it be that the last new transportation system invented in this Country is the Space Shuttle which was still Wernher von Braun’s idea over 30 years ago?  Wernher von Braun also designed all the other rockets USA ever used.  Where is the next step? The Aries rocket was going to be step beyond Shuttle by going retro back to Saturn like approach made of leftover pieces of the Space Shuttle program?  How sad.  How depressing.  How totally out of touch with the future.  And of course Aries and Constellation programs (return to the Moon) were scrapped too after $9 billion was spent on them?

What happened to the Space Plane, the next logical step after the Space Shuttle? Oh yes you guessed it right - NASA scrapped that too – work on X-34, X-35 and other version of scram-jet powered space planes that reached 10 Mach during testing was stopped.  Throwing away reusable space plane model each time after its one single flight right to the bottom of the ocean!?   The whole premise of a space plane is total vehicle reusability and not just partial kind of reusability as Space Shuttle was.  NASA threw away each such space plane prototype after its maiden flight a at a total cost of $1.2 billion for three such space planes and flights???

There has been no Wernher von Braun like innovative Leadership in NASA since his passing.  No vision.  No direction.  In general, many worldwide space programs are made of splintered individual space programs mainly funded by governments each on a totally different path challenging the most difficult frontier called Space, which should be conquered together and with team work.

There is hope that Space can remain as inspiring goal for all of us.  That hope lies in Private Space effort that has started already.  In spite of risks and costs Private Space is the only long term solution just and Private Airlines were to air travel.  There is no other way.  We have found the right way for right formula for Private Space to involve any citizen anywhere around the world behind focused and exciting and doable of Private Space Projects.

We at ISS have put together exciting private space missions which will be primarily funded by $100 Private Space Mission Passes (PSMPs) purchased by an individual in the world to have access to information about one of our Private Space Missions such as LUNANALD-1 or LUNAORB-1, Super Space Seeds – 1, Zero-G Super Crystals – 1, Faster Than Light – 1, Private Space Plane -1, and others.

We have also forming a Private Space Club with three levels of memberships (Basic - $9.95/mo, Silver - $24.95/mo and Gold - $44.95/mo) and expect tens of thousands of space enthusiasts from around the world to join it and support our effort of creating a totally private space effort.

Where ever the support comes from, our Private Space effort will be united and heading into space from Kennedy Space Center in Florida and other locations around the world.  You, the average citizen of the world, will become part of history by supporting creation of a true Private Space.  Your $100 will make the difference!!  NASA’s billions did not!

We will only KEEP MOVING FORWARD as Walt Disney once said.  We will not walk away from our Vision of Private Space!!  Because you, the average citizen of the World believe in it!!  We welcome you to Private Space for Everyone!
